Emergency Closing Policy
Application: Library Director and Trustees
Policy:
Emergencies or catastrophes including, but not limited to, extreme weather, utility failure, fire, or flooding may require closing of the library.
The primary consideration in any emergency is the safety of all persons in the building and on the property.
To be eligible for compensation during emergency closing, employees must be ready, willing, and able to work remotely on projects identified by library leadership during their regularly scheduled working hours and must complete such duties as assigned. When performing tasks remotely, employees should note the time worked through the usual process for logging hours.
